Placerville student injured in auto v. pedestrian crash
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA – An El Dorado High School student was seriously hurt in an auto versus pedestrian colliison Thursday morning.
California Highway Patrol Officer Dan Stark said the 15-year-old girl’s leg was severed in the accident at Mace Road and Pony Express Trail in north El Dorado. The 18-year-driver lost control of her vehicle in the snow and struck the girl who was at a school bus stop.
Stark said the victim was taken by air ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with major but not life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred at 7:15 a.m.
