Fatalities shut part of Highway 63 north of Visalia
Two men were killed Friday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 63 north of Visalia, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP Sgt. Brian Yokley said the crash occurred about 11:35 a.m. when a Tulare man who was driving north in a 2006 Chevy Aveo pulled to the left and straddled the center dividing line. The Aveo collided head-on with a southbound 2001 yellow Ford Mustang driven by an Orosi man. Both drivers were killed on impact.
Yokley couldn’t say whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
